It's Xmas time!

In 1931, Coca-Cola changed its target audience from the adult who lacked pep to the whole family who required cheer and joy. Coca-Cola was a great taste to be enjoyed by everyone! And with that, they decided to launch an extensive advertising campaign to demonstrate its new appeal. Pioneering the use of well-known artists to design their ad campaigns, the company blitzed pharmacies and stores with promotional material that was suitable for the whole family. The illustrations by one artist in particular, the Swedish Haddon Sundblom, landed Coca-Cola the most success, and it is his image of a portly White man in a red suit bringing joy to family and friends simply with a bottle of Coke that we see in shopping malls, greeting cards, commercials, Salvation Army booths, and so on. -- REF: Alternet

Here is bohemia and me after a Christmas party

Christmas is magical, it is a celebration of hope and good times; happy holidays everyone!

In the meanwhile, let us not forget what creators of the red Santa are guilty of... they are guilty of a crime against humanity - in Plachimada proportions.

A couple of weeks back, we bought a Canon 400D. We opted to go for the bundle offer, which gave us a Canon EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM Lens.

We have taken plenty of shots over the last two weekends. These pictures were taken today, on the Abu Dhabi - Dubai highway.

Emirates Towers looks smart in this gorgeous weather.

The Towers is quite an imposing building.

We were driving through the Abu Dhabi corniche at about 12.40 pm, as we were on the road, I took a snap with my mobile phone:

It was the Friday prayer time... the roads were empty. Almost ten minutes later, I took some shots. No one seemed to be aware of this massive fire.

A few minutes later the fire force were seen rushing to the building.

I checked Gulf News this morning to see the report. I didn't see any. Maybe I missed it.

Bitter Gourd - good for health.

Enjoyed the weekend cooking - fresh vegetables are always a favourite.
Nothing too spectacular, made this bitter gourd dish. Tasty tasty :-)

This is a signature dish from my hometown - Moringa (drumsticks) and split chickpea. Bohemia loved it.
